Aliens Bonus Features & Jackpots

The Aliens slot is divided into the following 3 stages;

Level 1- The Search: Players entered Alien-infested territory to scan for signs of life as they collected symbols. Each symbol collected had a multiplier value added to the Alien Activity Meter. In addition, the meter had 9 steps where players had to collect the maximum amount to proceed to the next level.

Level 2- The Encounter: This feature started with a symbol overlay on the 1st spin. The objective here was to survive an early Alien attack before reaching the Queen Hive. The multipliers that landed in Level 1, transfered to Level 2. So, players could potentially land multipliers of up to 6x on 3 symbols in one spin.

Players could also watch the Ammo Clip Reel because it contained the Ammo symbols. If they landed in the middle reel, they increased the Ammo Clip Counter and could activate re-spins. However, after shooting at Aliens, the Ammo Clip Counter would decrease by 1 after every spin.

Level 3- The Hive: Level 3 started with 5 re-spins. Players could destroy the Queen Hive during this stage. For example, you could potentially trigger a 240x your stake prize if you killed the Queen and destroyed the Hive as you advanced the Hive Health Meter. Usually, the Queen could do some random damage via the grenade strength and multiplier value. In addition, if a multiplier landed in the middle of the multiplier reel, it could multiply the damage by up to 10x.

Aliens RTP & Volatility

NetEnt released its Aliens slot in 2014 but discontinued it as an online slot in 2017. The game had a 96.40% RTP and high volatility. Stakes ranged from 15p to £150 a spin, while the maximum payout was up to 3,817x your stake.

Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

The Aliens slot theme by NetEnt took players to outer space on a mission to stop an invasion. The game was about the 1986 cult film. So, players could sometimes watch clips from the actual film during the course of gameplay.

The Players’ main mission was to kill the Queen and destroy her Hive. The game created a simulation where spinners appeared to be running through a spaceship, finishing off the enemy. So, as players spin the reels, the Ellen Ripley avatar could also move forward.

The Aliens slot game had a dark and eerie background, which implied they were in deep space. The grid looked like the view from a spaceship and a dark, and sinister soundtrack played in the background as players spun the reels. The aliens also could make an appearance, and their angry growls added to the horror theme.

Aliens Review Summary

The Aliens slot game was one of NetEnt’s most popular slots since it paid homage to a film favourite. Not only did this game have an engaging theme, but it also included a fiery bonus round. The bonus feature was split into 3 rounds as spinners could potentially trigger multipliers and re-spins.

In addition, the interactive gameplay also made the NetEnt slot stand out. Players could have a first-person experience via the main character’s helmet camera. Of course, the tense soundtrack added to the mystery and suspense of the game.

Overall, we think Aliens was one of NetEnt’s best slots. Although it retired ahead of time, Aliens will remain a model for more space-related online slots.
